Characters from Minecraft will be projected on a large screen in front of the audience and manipulated by gamers to retell this traditional Japanese ghost story from Lafcadio Hearn's collection, Kwaidan, which was originally published in 1904.

EK Theater was founded by director and gamer, Eddie Kim, in 2007. The company’s mission is to bring classics to modern audiences through live works of video game puppetry. EK Theater is made up of students and is based out of the Pierrepont School in Westport, CT. Their work has been presented at theaters, festivals, and conferences in several states and at various venues including at the A.R.T. in Cambridge, MA.
