Place-based or augmented reality (AR) games have yet to become part of the common media buffet. If AR games are ever going to be mainstream, first they must engage players and cause excitement in the same ways that all media first motivate as entertainment venues. This session walks you through the basic elements and story line of a local AR game that highlights the history and fictions of the Athens Lunatic Asylum. Oh yes, it's educational too.
